Spirit week - college day

30th of September, Tuesday

Spirit week is a week at school, when we dress up into something given for each day. Yesterday was toga day (I was supposed to wear a bedsheet), and today was college day. Almost everyone wore college hoodies and T-shirts. I got a Robertson T-shirt from Sun.
The morning was crazy, I missed my bus by 30 seconds! Urghhh! Herb took me to school.
My AP Psychology test was 90%, which I consider pretty good. On History, I wrote the test I missed on Thursday, and that was 100%! My average is a hundred all-in-all in US History. I wish I could hold that up for the rest of the year.
We started a new project on Creative Writing: we have to take a fairy tale, and give it a twist. The examples were Fat Cinderella were Pompous Little Red Riding Hood with a red velvet mania. I choose to modernize Aladdin, and I have great ideas, but I'm afraid I'll accidentally write a book, the story's so long!
I took the bus home, to bake some cake for Rotary for Wednesday. I finished 3 hours later with a solid gerbaud (Hungarian dessert). I kinda cheated with the jam, but I think it's all right.
We had a game against Spencerport, which we unfortunately lost. Michelle gave me a ride home. I'll have to finish the cake today, and I don't have chocolate yet, to cover it!

A day at home

29th of September, Monday

I slept 3 hours at night. I could barely fall asleep. So you can imagine how I was when Herb knocked at the door at 6:15 in the morning, saying that I'm late. I had a tiresome weekend, and I admit, I neglected my studies from home. So Herb called in, and I could take the day off.
I rested, I downloaded my Math textbook that my teacher sent me. My Mom will be thrilled when she hears that I've started studying for my exams already (they're going to be in August). She thinks I'm not taking it seriously, but I am. I'll study from time to time, so my "skills" won't get rusty.
I want to enjoy my time here as much as I can, but I can't ignore the responsibilities from home. And I don't intend to fail.

Cal-Mum 4 + pictures!

28th of September, Sunday

So today was the last day of the Cal-Mum weekend. Pat made breakfast, the first traditional eggs and bacon breakfast since i've been here. The only twist was that there were more vegetables in the scrambled eggs than eggs, which I loved.
We met with the inbounds at the school again, after we've packed, and we made posters. They printed out our group pcture from the Channel 13 tour, and we could tape them on a piece of paper, and have it signed by everybody. After that, we had a 2 hour orientation, the same we had in August. It was followed by goodbyes, and hugs. We'll meet on the 27th of October next time.
Larry picked me up, and brought me home. At home, I talked to my parents (like every Sunday), and I relaxed. It's been an eventful weekend.
