3rd of September, Wednesday
I slept in, and it was refreshing. Larry picked me up before noon to take me to the Rotary meeting. It was nice, like last time, but with slightly less introductions, for most of the people already know me. I fulfilled my promise to teach the members a hungarian word (this time SZIA!), and I told them the truth about Mexican chili peppers. We listened to Bill and Helen Gormont talk about their vacation in Australia, it was lovely. Then Larry took me home, and I tried to begin my AP English assignments. I didn't get far. From 4 to 6, I had volleyball practice. I was performing on an average level, as always. After practice, Alyssa gave me a ride to her house where her pasta party was!
It was a lot of fun! The girls are really funny, and they can make everyone laugh. I thought them the word HAJRÁ, which is kind of like "Let's go!", so they won't think I'm completely crazy when I cheer to them in hungarian.
Herb picked me up from Alyssa's, and immediately, I started doing my assignment. I have to finish it by tomorrow, and I'm only half done. I hope Mrs. Masters, my teacher won't be mad at me tomorrow. Anyways, my summer's gone, and tomorrow, school starts early in the morning. I'm looking forward to it, but I'm a little nervous too. I think everything will be OK.
