Second day of school

5th of September, Friday

Second day of school is a really underappreciated topic. But I find it just as important as first day of school. It's practically the first day of real schoolwork. And that's what happened today.
AP Psychology was good, got a little sciency, but I don't mind. French wasn't on my level, but I'll figure something out about that. English was good, turned in the summer assignments and Mrs. Masters didn't eat me for messing up some of the exercises. US History, I'm not gonna lie, wasn't as interesting. I didn't understand half of the words the teacher was talking about, even though I don't have a problem with English. It's just that these political words aren't quite in my dictionary yet. Then I had study hall. It's basicly a smaller auditorium, with almost 200 kids in it, having a free class. People usually do their homeworks and socialize, I personally talked with my Mom. She gave me a huge scare with breaking the news that my grandma had an accident. She slipped in her nursing home and fell head on to the wall. Fortunately she'll be fine (few broken bones). It's hard not being able to be there for my family. I hope they can work out everything and be strong! I send my love to them from more than 7000 kilometers away.
Then I had creative writing (fun as ever), and select choir (where we didn't do anything really, but was still fun). A bus was supposed to come for me at 2:30, but didn't. A really nice buslady, from whom I asked advice on what I should do, took pity on me and took me home. I skyped my parents, and Herb took me back to Athena for practice. I was exceptionally good compared to my average. I'm playing middle now, I was just put into there, and stuck with it.
In the evening, we went to Herb's school, where there was  a game night with many kids from Greece Christian, Northstar and the church. So Sun and I made friends, and played "capture-the-flag" and "alien". I was actually the one who got the flag and sprinted back to our position. Got tackled while doing it (someone thought I was from the enemy team), but I made it!
After leaving at 9, I got a membership at the YMCA next door. Shame that they don't have boxing gloves (they have a boxing sack, but it's like in a corner, on a stand). I brought "homeless gloves" from home, so I think they'll do.
At home, we watched Sherlock with Herb till after midnight. It was interesting to rewatch the first episode, and to introduce such an awesome show to somebody. (Sherlock fans know what I'm talking about). Today was a long day, but at least tomorrow we get to sleep in.
